About

Founded in 2005, HudsonWay Immersion School (HWIS) is a Mandarin and Spanish immersion school for students in preschool through 8th grade. A co-ed, private day school with campuses located in Stirling, New Jersey, and Midtown West, New York City, HudsonWay has been a pioneer in language immersion education. A for-profit school, HWIS was the first Mandarin and Spanish immersion school in New York City.

Maintaining an enviable student-teacher ratio throughout each division, HWIS enrolls over 200 students across its two campuses, 80% of whom do not speak the target language at home. In the 2019-2020 school year, HudsonWay launched a new Accelerated Learning Track in middle school to facilitate students entering 6th grade with no previous exposure to immersion.

We welcome you to explore the HudsonWay Immersion School website, and we hope you will consider joining our dynamic immersion community of students and their families.
