Dress Code

Research shows that dress codes support an environment conducive to learning and promote cohesive student behavior. At HudsonWay, we believe in a dress code that offers room for personal expression.

The HWIS dress code requires that students wear school colors and approved styles of clothing on non-PE days. Girls have the choice of white or yellow polo shirts with khaki pants, skirts, or shorts, and boys can choose from forest green or white polo shirts, and khaki pants or shorts. We have partnered with French Toast to provide a page where you can purchase clothing with these approved colors and styles. Logos for HudsonWay Immersion School, which are also provided by French Toast, are not required.

We have also added several choices from Lands’ End for the cooler weather. Click here and input our school code, 900144858, to order one of three styles in fleece jackets for either girls or boys.

Preschool students can come dressed in comfortable and washable clothes (nothing that cannot get dirty) but may not wear superhero costumes, ballet attire or tutus unless the teacher or administration invites them to dress in a certain style for a holiday or school spirit day. Extra diapers, clothing, and/or underwear are required to be stocked in the bin/cubby at all times. It is also suggested that a sweater or sweatshirt be kept in the school in the event of unexpected weather changes.

Bus Service

We are working to provide private bus services to both our NJ and NY campuses.
