On June 14 our NY community came together to celebrate HWIS’ first 8th grade graduation recognizing the achievements of Charles Doyle, Jack Perkins and Renzo Lau in the Mandarin program. The celebration began with advice from Head of School Nelyda Miguel, followed by each graduate reflecting on his journey at HWIS delivered in both English and Mandarin.

Since leaving HWIS, Kaitlyn Chee developed a passion for dance. She has also been very interested in entrepreneurship and recently took part in a sustainability Makeathon.
Since leaving HudsonWay, Warren continues to study Mandarin. He recently created a COVID-19 design that he hopes to sell on sweatshirts to raise money for kids affected by the coronavirus.
Since leaving HudsonWay Immersion School, Declan has competed at the world championship robotics competition. He enjoys many sports such as soccer, wrestling, and lacrosse.
Since leaving HudsonWay Immersion School, Sara Scallon has been involved with swimming, tennis, lacrosse, and reading. She believes HWIS helped her become more confident and independent.
